When CEO Lazaros Kalemis started Alpha Card Services in October 2000, it was a small, idealistic business with 6 dedicated employees located on top of a pizza parlor in Northeast Philadelphia. He listened to merchants who were frustrated with their credit card processor’s exorbitant fees, rates, and continual lack of customer service. Having been a merchant himself, he identified with his merchant’s challenges and transformed them into solutions, creating a credit card processing division that focused on world class service and support, which was unparalleled in the industry.
